QUICK AND EASY MEALS!




BAKED CHICKEN MEAL- Wash a large chicken, put it in the crock pot or in a big pan, rub with margarine, salt, and pepper, add 1/2 cup of water, and cook in crock pot for 4 hours or bake for 1-1 1/2 hours or so. You may peel potatoes and carrots, and add before cooking and add a can or 2 of canned chicken gravy.


SAUCY CHEESY PASTA- Boil a box of pasta (Mostaccioli or any kind) in boiling water for 10 minutes or so. Pour pasta in pan and add a large jar and a half of spaghetti sauce, stirring slightly. Cover with a cup of fresh parmesan cheese and 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese. Cook 5-10 more minutes. (You can add a can of mushrooms and/or chicken/sausage, or hamburger too.)


CHEESEBURGERS- form hamburger patties mixed with a splash of steak sauce. Grill or fry on medium or medium/high on both sides till red is gone in the middle. Add a big thick slice of american cheese. Add tomato, lettuce, and pickle, and condiments of your choice. Serve between two buns warmed, if desired. Can use turkey burger, if desired.


BARBECUED STEAK- Throw a london broil or steak on the grill or in a pan. Baste with barbecue sauce on both sauce. Bake or grill on both sides till done.


TASTY MARINADES- Cover steaks or beef or chicken breasts with italian dressing for an hour or overnight. Then bake or grill till no longer pink or cooked to your preference. (Filled of flavor!!)


TACO SALAD- Taco Salad is simply made by browning hamburger with an envelope of taco seasoning mix, draining it, and letting it cool. Then add clean dry lettuce, cut- up tomatoes, cut-up cheeses, black olives, crumbled tortilla chips, etc. Add anything you want! Stir gently and serve immediately as lettuce will wilt some.


SHEPHERD’S PIE- Mix browned and drained hamburger with a can of corn, can of creamed corn, and can of cream of mushroom soup. Spread 3 or 4 cups of prepared mashed potatoes on top and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cover with 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese and bake till melted, 5 or 10 minutes longer.


MEATBALL GRINDERS- Pour a bag of frozen meatballs on a cookie sheet, and spread them out, cooking according to pkg. directions. Meanwhile, pour 2 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce in a large pan; begin to heat on medium. Add meatballs. When all is heated-through, spoon on to grinder rolls. Add a slice of cheese if desired.


TURKEY SALAD SANDWICHES- Boil and debone 2 large turkey breasts into little pieces. Add tiny pieces of celery and enough mayonnaise to taste and salt and pepper. Fill between two pieces of bread.


BACON, LETTUCE, TOMATO, AND GRILLED CHEESE- Fry 6 slices of bacon and drain. Arrange on toasted bread. Add lots of cheese, tomato, and lettuce and cover with another slice of toast. (I like to melt for just a bit in microwave oven.)


QUESADILLOS- Spread with salsa, chicken pieces, then lots of cheese. Melt in oven for a couple of minutes til melted.
