Weak, but Strong

When I am weary and weak,
I lean on God, who I seek.
When I grow weaker and almost faint,
I depend on my Lord with no restraint.
The weaker I am, the more I call out;
But the stronger I grow and lose all doubt!
I run to my Comforter, and my soul, He restores;
His grace so rich and joy He out pours.
Hope He provides as I leave each concern;
I cling to His Words, as I eagerly learn.
My spirit is fed, and stronger, I become,
As I battle with sin, and I learn to overcome.
He speaks as I study His Word and abide;
It becomes more alive, as truths are applied.
I know my Savior more than I imagined I could;
As He teaches and molds me and works all for my good.
My faith in Him grows, as He truly sustains.
Through weakness, He strengthens and teaches and trains,
And such joy in the Lord I perpetually gain
All during our great Master’s school of pain.
When more trials come, He brings more grace and peace.
For His mercy has no limits and will never cease!
The strength He gives is so mysterious and true;
I cherish my hidden treasures I have discovered anew!
My need through the weak times has driven me to my Lord;
So grateful for my Savior and my undeserved reward!
So now I am renewed and strong and restored
On heights so high like the eagles soar.
God is the One who armed me for the fight,
And poured strength into my spirit for the dismal night.
