Bread Pudding

2¼ cups milk
4 eggs
1/2 cup super fine (castor) sugar OR just grind regular (granulated) sugar in a coffee grinder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch salt
1/2 cup raisins
4 slices bread

Butter one side of the bread. Cut each slice in 4.
Place all ingredients, except bread in crock pot.
Whisk until combined.
Arrange bread on top, butter side up. Allow slices to overlap. Push slices under milk mixture, so they soak some up.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
(Custard and puddings are such a 'comfort' food to me! And so delicious!!)

I love bread pudding! And I agree with you about the comfort foods. I just made some custard the other day, will have to try your recipe in the crock pot!
