A mystery, yet so true;
Words of power reaching down
To strengthen and renew.
Remember how the Redwood Tree
The tallest of them all;
Its roots firmly planted deep,
Surely will not fall.
WALKING on the narrow path,
With the Shepherd as the Guide;
With faith and trust, we will not stray,
Believing He will there provide.
Hare was quickest and the fastest;
Thought he’d surely never fade,
But turtle focused on the path
And won the race, since rabbit strayed.
CLIMBING up the hills and peaks;
The Lord gives strength to quickly save;
Scaling onward through the battles,
Advancing to victory with the brave.
The graceful deer that runs through rocks,
Up the mountains with swift feet,
Enabling him to stand on heights;
God gives us the same to beat.
RUNNING the race to fight the good fight
To win the prize waiting for me;
Not growing weary on this journey,
To win the crown in eternity!
The ship, so smooth and swift at sea,
Even though storms and perils arise;
Carrying their load till their voyage ends,
Prepared with wisdom to fight disguise.
MARCHING onward as Christ leads,
Following at His command;
Steady to Zion in unison
To meet our Savior as planned.
The head of the army guides his troops,
Forward in step, to bravely lead;
Going into battle to gain and conquer,
Knowing he’ll surely succeed.
