We live in a world, so dark and cold.The only true light is Jesus to behold!
The sunshine through clouds on a rainy day;
The ray that peaks forth, pointing the way;
The beam on the path to carry us through,
When lost or blind, He gives us clear view.
Forever the victorious Light of Life!
Always carrying our burdens and strife;
The dawn, arising with sparkling shine,
The luster of sunrise on the shoreline!
He radiates our souls, unfolding His story;
Illuminating our hearts, for His own glory,
The light of a fire, blazing aglow!
Rekindling our hearts to burn and grow.
He is the bright and Morning Star,
Glowing and radiant, even from afar!
Envision and seek this shining face,
Ask for His help and amazing grace;
Press on toward the goal to win the prize,
The brilliant palaces in the skies;
TO finally see His gleaming face,
And feel His warm and sweet embrace.
