Mint Ice Cream Angel Food Cake

1 quart vanilla ice cream
1 angel food cake, cut into 3 layers
10 chocolate mint patties, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
8 oz. Cool Whip

Soften ice cream slightly. Stir chopped mint patties and nuts into softened ice cream. Spread between cake layers. Spread top and sides of cake with Cool Whip. Freeze until ready to serve.
