Plans in His Hands

The lives of God’s children are in His hands
As He works out for each His Sovereign plans;
Plans for them to prosper and succeed
And to flourish and thrive and to proceed;
Not plans to damage or scare or cause harm
Or to hurt or mistreat or unarm.
They are plans to give a promise and a hope;
A yearning and longing for and not just to cope;
Plans to give such anticipation and desire
And confidence and trust and a peace to inspire;
A faith in God and waiting, so secure;
Seeking refuge, patient to endure;
Following God and asking for His grace;
Leaning on His steadfast love and mercy for this race;
Knowing all things will work out for His glory,
As He shapes and produces each of His child’s life’s story.
These plans are to give an eternal future, not a phase;
The time that is to come will be everlasting, not just days!
God’s children unceasingly pray to their God and call;
He listens as they heed and give their all.
They search for and hunt and daily pursue
With enormous effort in all that they do
To achieve and cling to and riches to gain
Their God’s awesome wisdom they long to attain.
God’s children seek Him and abundantly find
When they seek their God with their whole heart, soul, and mind!
