The tide is rolling in, as I watch and see,
Waves crashing on the rocks in front of me.
Debris and foam are carried in with sway and breeze;
The lull of the roaring waves relax and strangely ease.
I look at the swells that are incredibly tall
And shapes of the white caps that rise and fall.
Billows toss back and forth by wind and air.
The surging sea is a sight to behold and dream and stare!
“God rules over them,” as it says in the soothing Psalms.
“When their waves mount up, He causes them to be calm.”
“He stills the roaring waves, and they simply obey.”
“So awesome are His deeds in their brilliant array.”
Along with the vast and spacious seas,
He made them with creatures in sizes of all degrees.
In wisdom, He made them beyond number.
He takes care of their needs and never does slumber.
The ships go to and fro, with stories to tell.
God made this possible even with creatures to dwell.
“God is the hope of all the earth to its ends,
And of the vast seas, as far as their beauty extends!”
God’s seas easily appease with their glorious breeze.
All our cares disappear as it magically frees.
His waves with their grace mesmerize and amaze.
How can anyone deny their Creator praise!
