Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

(I USED TO MAKE THIS OFTEN WHILE GROWING UP! IT IS EXTRA MOIST!)
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup real mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup cold water

In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add vanilla, mayonnaise, and water. Beat until smooth. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees or until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean (about 30-35 minutes). Cool. Frost with your favorite frosting or sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
