The wonders of Christmas
And thrills have begun;
The hustle and bustle
To get it all done:
Shopping for gifts
Full of holiday cheer,
Trimming the trees
Making memories so dear;
Santa and sleigh bells,
Stockings all hung;
Friends come together,
Carols are sung.
Caught up in the season,
Presents to give;
But the greatest gift ever
Is Jesus who lives!
His priceless worth
Far more than mall sprees,
Gift-giving and thrills,
And tinsel and trees.
Oh, Christmas is Jesus,
The greatest Gift ever;
Our grateful hearts serve
With faithful endeavor.
Without Christ in Christmas,
What is there to celebrate,
And why honor this Treasure
Just on this one date?
We show Him just how much
We think He is worth
When we forget all He’s done
And leave out His birth.
Let’s stop, take a look,
Take action...bring back
The true meaning of Christmas-
The Christ our world lacks.
First, marvel and wonder
At the story in history,
Foretold by the prophets,
The greatest miracle and mystery.
Rejoice when you hear
The Savior was born,
Immanuel, “God with Us,”
On that great Christmas Morn!
For Mary gave birth
To Christ on that day;
No room, just a stable;
In a manger, He lay.
Shepherds were nearby
In the fields one night;
An angel appeared,
God’s glory shone bright.
Hurrying right off
To find what they heard,
They saw and believed
And soon spread the word.
Wise men believed
And followed the star,
Bringing gifts for God’s Son
After traveling afar.
They fell down in awe
And worshiped the King,
The Savior incarnate,
To pay for death’s sting.
Oh, the mysteries of love,
The miracle of grace,
Christ born to die
To stand in our place.
He took those nails
For His own-sinful men,
But rose from the dead
And is coming again!
Yes, Jesus is alive
And will never depart;
Let’s serve Him with gladness
And renew our own hearts....
Search like the Shepherds
Who believed what they saw;
Bring gifts like the wise men
And worship in awe;
Glorify Him like angels
Who exalted their Lord,
For soon we will meet
The same Christ they adored!
“Thanks be to God
For His unspeakable Gift!”
Let hearts rejoice always
And not waver or drift.
Keep Christ in Christmas;
No need for Santa’s sled
Full of gifts that don’t last;
We need souls to be fed.
Yes, we always need Jesus
Who is faithful and near....
We celebrate Christmas
Every day of the year!
Let’s light up the world
Like that star long ago,
And tell of His love
And all that we owe.
To celebrate Christmas
Like the Wise men of past,
We must give Him our hearts
Till that great trumpet blast!
