Buttery Shortbread Cookies

1 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup butter, softened

Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and confectioners' sugar. With a spoon, stir in the butter until a smooth, soft dough forms. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten balls with a fork. Bake at 300 degrees for about 20 minutes. (Makes about 2 dozen cookies.) Yum!! My favorite!
