Crock Pot Teriyaki Steak

2 to 2 1/2 lbs. boneless steak, cut in small pieces
1 tsp. ginger
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed (optional)

Combine all ingredients and pour over steak. Cook on low 4 to 6 hours in crock pot. Serve over rice, if desired.
